It’s no secret that Hunter Valley is the birthplace of delectable Australian wine. The 2024 PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show was judged at the Lone Pine Barracks at the Singleton Army Base from Monday 5th to Wednesday 7th August, with the trophy winners’ luncheon celebrated today at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. The 52nd Hunter Valley Wine Show attracted 76 exhibitors, with 600 entries across 29 classes. A total of 381 medals were awarded, including 56 Gold.

Yesterday in Melbourne the Hunter Valley’s Liz Silkman was bestowed with the most celebrated winemaking title in Australia Halliday Winemaker of the Year 2025. Liz is the first Hunter Valley winemaker to ever be awarded this title from one of the world’s most respected wine critics.
The Around Hermitage Association, supported by Singleton Council is bringing the D’Vine Festival to Pokolbin this October. In its second year, the festival has been completely reimagined to bring a great range of hands-on culinary experiences, more entertainment, more activities and a whole host of child and dog friendly events. This truly is a festival for those who love the finer things in life.
Much-loved Hunter Valley winery Harkham will open a restaurant on their grounds to sit alongside their cellar door on Thursday 18 July. The restaurant will have a relaxed atmosphere, a simple menu designed for sharing and live music from local talent on Saturdays from 3-6pm.
