This season will see Essential Theatre revisit one of Shakespeare's romantic comedies, Twelfth Night set amongst the picturesque Calais Estate Vineyard in the Hunter Valley.

Calais Estate is a family owned boutique winery that is famous for both its great wine and hospitality. The award winning winery boasts one of the largest collections of boutique wines in the Hunter Valley and is set on a beautiful vineyard estate. 

Whether you're new to the work of Essential Theatre or a regular audience member, you are guaranteed a night to remember with a fresh take on this much loved classic. It will be a truthful, fast paced and energetic production. You will be laughing out loud at the antics. 

We invite you to join us at Calais Estate and be taken on this journey as we see this tale unravel amongst a magnificent setting. 

Important Information

Gates open at 4.30PM for General Admission - live music, food and drink will be available from this time. 

The VIP Lunch Package begins at 1.30PM. 

The performance will begin at sunset.

Food and drinks will be available throughout the performance. 

Calais Estate offers a number of catered hospitality packages that include food and beverages along with a ticket to the performance. If you prefer something more relaxed The Verandah Restaurant will have foods stalls available to purchase from on the day.

Calais Estate and its outdoor concert amphitheatre is a fully catered venue and there is Strictly NO BYO food and drink. Unopened bottles of water are permitted. No umbrellas are to be used throughout the performance. Chairs are permitted however the venue is on a hill so they will be restricted to the back of the seating area.

The performance will go on if wet weather presents and will be moved into the Calais Estate Barrel Room.
