LOVE LETTER TO THE UNSEEN follows youth conservationist Spencer Hitchen of @ SaveSunriseGlossies on his journey to understand the threats to the endangered Maugean Skate, the politics behind its possible demise, and the intrinsic beauty of a species that exists both in the real world and in the imaginations of its supporters. Since the introduction of intensive salmon farming in Macquarie Harbour, Tasmania, the sole remaining home of the Maugean skate, the numbers of this ancient Gondwana era species have plummeted, but there’s still time to act.
