The Deck Cafe Lovedale

Be sure to stop into The Deck Cafe in Lovedale for a breakfast against the ambiance of the fountain pond with resident ducks. Their menu boasts local favourites including house-made muesli with vanilla yoghurt and fresh berries, their signature corn and zucchini fritters topped with house made labna, spiced tomato relish and dukkah, and French toast with fresh strawberries, blueberries, banana, Chantilly cream and maple syrup. How does breakfast on the balcony in the sun sound? Well that is exactly what you can expect from Mezze breakfast (weather permitting of course). Centrally located in the Hunter Valley, Mezze’s menu includes omelette with sautéed mushrooms and crumbled feta, smashed avocado, breakfast bruschetta, and eggs benedict for breakfast.

Iron Gate Kitchen

Be transported to the Mediterranean at the stylish Spanish-inspired Iron Gate Kitchen set on the grounds of the iconic Iron Gate Estate winery. The menu is guided by seasonal produce and bold Iberian flavours. Their Mediterranean-inspired breakfast menu includes Ensalada de Frutas, a seasonal fruit salad, mint + coconut yoghurt, Monte enebro with Ciabatta, goat’s cheese, baked in the wood-fire oven, and Hunter lavender honey and even Spanish-inspired French toast. They are open for breakfast Friday to Sunday.
