What truly sets Talits apart is the wine at your doorstep. A few minutes' stroll down the driveway brings you to the estate's own James Halliday–rated cellar door, twice a finalist in the HVWTA Cellar Door of the Year Awards, pouring wines grown and crafted on site under celebrated winemaker Daniel Binet. Add a private chef, in-home massage or helicopter transfer, and an ordinary weekend becomes something closer to the South of France.
Talits Estate is a family-owned vineyard, cellar door and luxury holiday home set on 50 acres in the tranquil Broke Fordwich corner of the Hunter Valley — yet just 15 minutes from Pokolbin. Designed by French architects as a replica of a chateau in Aix-en-Provence and built by master craftsmen using the finest materials and European fittings, the Homestead is a true Provençal masterpiece.
The homestead sleeps up to 10 guests across four generously appointed bedrooms (one king, three queen) with sumptuous linen, plus a sofa bed in the living area, and five bathrooms — one graced with an antique copper bathtub. An open-plan living space brings together a spacious lounge with a crackling stone fireplace, a formal dining area and a fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with top-tier appliances and a Nespresso machine. Two classic balconies capture the morning and afternoon sun over the gardens.
Outside, the estate unfolds across parterre gardens, an olive grove and rows of award-winning Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Gamay and Merlot vines, all framed by the Brokenback Range. Take a dip in the sparkling pool, enjoy a game on the traditional French pétanque court, dine alfresco by the BBQ, or wander down to greet the resident alpacas. A certified member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and Freshcare-compliant, Talits farms with a deep respect for the land.
A few minutes' walk down the driveway, the acclaimed cellar door pours wines grown and made on the estate under celebrated winemaker Daniel Binet — twice nominated for The Wine Society's Young Winemaker of the Year and a recipient of the Hunter Wine Excellence Scholarship. A twice-named finalist in the Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association's Cellar Door of the Year Awards, Talits has also been the backdrop for editorial and fashion shoots with Vogue, Country Living, Dissh and Arnhem.
To complete the escape, curated services can be arranged on request (additional charges apply): private chefs, in-home massage therapy, styling, private wine tastings, wine tours, and driver or helicopter transfers.
Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required to confirm your booking. A refundable security deposit is payable by bank transfer 7–14 days before arrival. No refund is provided for cancellations made through direct or third-party bookings. A change of date is subject to a $150 AUD fee plus any rate difference. Only registered guests are permitted on the estate. A valid Australian ID or passport must be submitted after booking (excluding Airbnb bookings).

Talits Estate is approximately 2.5 hours' drive from Sydney and 1 hour from Newcastle. From Sydney, take the M1 Pacific Motorway north to the Hunter Expressway (M15) and follow signs toward Broke. From Broke, continue along Milbrodale Road — Talits Estate is on your right. The estate is 15 minutes from Pokolbin. We recommend entering the address into your GPS or Google Maps for the most direct route.
