Time to Love New South Wales campaign by Destination New South Wales coincides beautifully with a fresh approach at Wandin Estate. Existing owners, LTT International Pty Ltd, have engaged the La Vie Hotels & Resort Group and secured local wine tourism advocate, Manda Duffy, as General Manager where she will be Hunter-based. Days into the role the new GM made some swift changes and re-joined the brand to the Hunter Valley Wine Country Tourism Association (HVWTA), changed the operating hours to 7 days per week in the Cellar Door and renamed the restaurant to Wandin Kitchen. Said Manda Duffy, "I think most people would very much like to forget the summer of 2019/20 and a visit to the Hunter Valley in the year ahead will do the trick. We've had great rain, the wildlife is smiling and the soil is getting a much needed rest. I am thrilled to bring to Wandin the results of years of management mentoring by some of the best in the wine and tourism industry. Rejoining the local tourism association was an easy decision, making sure operators know we are open everyday keeps things simple especially for our guests, local and inbound, who expect quality, service and a smile - they'll get that and more at Wandin". The Estate is home to Wandin Kitchen with chef John Rutherford at the helm producing breakfast, lunch and dinner from quality local produce supported by his thriving kitchen garden for his local herbs and garnishes. Wandin Kitchen features panoramic views for miles across the scenic Hunter Valley, an idyllic setting to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family and meet the locals. Cellar Door is where you can immerse yourself in the art and science of Wandin Estate wines and be treated to a range of experiences whether arriving by helicopter, by limousine or with one of the local drivers. Wandin Estate Wines are exclusively available through Cellar Door and made by esteemed winemaker and wine judge, PJ Charteris. Just like Wandin’s handcrafted wines, creating a perfect wedding is all about the details, and it’s in Wandin’s DNA. The wedding couples’ special day at Wandin will be the perfect blend of Hunter Valley beauty, fragrant settings, seasonal local cuisine, fine wines and all the intricate and intimate details that can only be found when hosting a wedding at Wandin’s unrivalled Lovedale estate. Perfectly positioned as the first cellar door and vineyard off the Hunter Expressway, Wandin Estate is located in Australia’s oldest and world famous wine region the Hunter Valley, just a 2hr drive away from Sydney. With more than five decades of wine-making history and situated in the beautiful Lovedale area of the lower Hunter Valley, producing wines of premium quality and a unique tourist destination. “Said Jerry Xu, Chief Executive Officer of La Vie Hotels & Resorts. “Wandin Valley Estate is another exciting addition to La Vie Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio.
