Carnival of colour

‘Spring is Mother Nature’s way of saying, let’s party!’ Robin Williams.

This Spring, we are bringing the party to the Hunter Valley Gardens with THREE SPECTACULAR EVENTS TO INSPIRE, AMAZE & DELIGHT! Stretching over 70 days with something for everyone, this is one carnival not to be missed.

From the 1st of September enjoy Spring Time in the Gardens, a celebration of new foliage and flowers. The Gardens will look it’s bloomin’ best with an array of spring flowers on show, including our avenue of Ornamental Plums and Cherry Blossoms. We’ve added some pop, with beautiful spring displays and wheelbarrows crafted by our horticultural team, hanging floral baskets, an avenue of parasols and the Galaxy of Gnomes created by local schools in the region. Plus, there will be talks and walks with our talented Gardens team.

Once the school holidays arrive, not only will the Gardens be bursting with colour but we’re also bringing the beats! Fresh from sell-out Sydney and Adelaide shows, 360 ALLSTARS is bringing its super-charged urban circus to our carnival. Boasting world champion break-dancers, cyr wheel world record holder, drummer and beatboxer, 360 ALLSTARS is a revolutionary performance that will thrill people of all ages. Plus, there will be a giant indoor ball cave featuring close to 20,000 colourful balls and the Gardens’ four incredible rides*, including our Venetian carousel, 25m ferris wheel, super speedy swing chair and giant slide will be available for the thrillseekers throughout the school holidays.

Last but certainly not least, the Rose Spectacular will round out the Carnival of Colour. Visitors will be greeted by an incredible sensory explosion of colour and fragrance as they view 35,000 rose bushes across the property, with 6,000 inside the Rose Garden itself. Come along and see over 50 varieties of roses, with hundreds and thousands of blooms as part of our annual Rose Spectacular.

Carnival of Colour at Hunter valley Gardens is an amazing and fun-filled family day out held in the Hunter Valley; an easy two-hour drive from Sydney.
