The Australian Army Infantry Museum (AAIM) is the custodian of Infantry Corps history and its customs and traditions. The Museum's collection ranges from the Australia's pre-federation state colonial armies and their first deployments overseas in the nineteenth century through to today's twenty first century diggers.

Description

Throughout the galleries and exhibitions the profile of the Australian Infantry Soldier is displayed with actual weapons, uniforms, equipment, maps, medals, pictures, stories, personal letters and videos, as used during these operations. The weapon displays covers weapons as used by colonial soldiers in the 1800s, weapons as used during the ANZAC campaign, machine guns and a collection of pistols and sniper weapons.

There is something for everyone at the Royal Australian Infantry Corps Museum. Co-located with the museum is the Infantry Corps shop which has a good selection of military memorabilia, books, uniforms, statues, equipment, soft drinks and chips to purchase.

The museum is closed Mon and Tue, Christmas, Boxing and New Years Day, Good Friday and ANZAC Day.
