Calling for Nominations for the 2021 Hunter Valley Legends & Wine Industry Awards
Nominations are being called for the 2021 Hunter Valley Legends & Wine Industry Awards.
Members of the Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association (HVWTA) are invited to nominate in 4 categories. The winners will be announced at the Hunter Valley Legends & Wine Industry Awards dinner on Thursday, 20 May 2021.
The categories for the Awards are:
The Rising Star Award is open to any businesses associated with the wine and tourism industries, as well as young achievers working for the benefit of the Hunter Valley as a destination.
The Cellar Door of the Year recipient is decided upon by an independent mystery shopper engaged by the Association. Every business who nominates for this category will be judged, no shortlisting will take place. To nominate for this Award the fee is $280.00 (plus GST for members). If you believe you need to provide additional documentation in regard to your nomination for the Cellar Door of the Year Award please feel free to include within your submission.
Once the selection panels have confirmed that the criteria requirements for the Winemaker of the Year Award, Viticulturist of the Year Award and Rising Star of the Year Award have been met the finalists will proceed to a secret ballot.
For all categories previous winners there is no longer an exclusion period and we encourage all members of the community to nominate those of your peers who you feel are worthy of these awards. This is a great way to acknowledge those that have made a contribution, and promotes excellence in the Hunter Valley Wine and Wine Tourism Industries.
Nominations close on Friday, 19th February 2021.
Please note - The nominations received in 2020 for Rising Star of the Year, Viticulturist of the Year and Winemaker of the Year will be carried over to this years awards.
