Description

HOURS: 10AM - 4PM SATURDAY & SUNDAY

CELLAR DOOR:

Saltire Estate was born in 2006 when the Leslie family acquired land that was originally part of the much larger George Hunter Estate established by the Sydney restauranteur, Oliver Shaul in the 1970s. The Semillon, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Merlot vines are all that remain of the 500 acre estate.

Owned by an Australian/Scottish family, Saltire Estate welcomes ex-pats, Outlander fans and lovers of fine wine each weekend where they specialise in fun, fresh and informative tastings inside an industrial winemaking facility, overlooking stunning vines and olive trees.

Bookings are essential via the Saltire Estate website.

EVENTS:

You may recognise Saltire from the famed Lovedale Long Lunch, a progressive lunch held across seven of Lovedale's most beautiful wineries on the third weekend in May.

Or perhaps you have heard about the Hunter Valley Highland Games, an event that celebrates all things Scottish! Enjoy a glass of wine and watch the Highlander athletes compete, the drum and pipe bands play and the dancers...er...dance!

Still to be hosted for the very first time is the Hunter Valley Kombi Fest which was to take place on 21 March 2020. Whilst the event was sadly cancelled, it shall go ahead as soon as it is safe to do so, welcoming VeeDubs from near and far to showcase their four wheeled loves.
