Branxton & Greta

Steeped in history, country charm and hospitality, Branxton and Greta are the northern gateways to the world-renowned Hunter Valley Wine Country.

A popular RV destination, Branxton is located at the northern end of Hunter Valley Wine Country. Enjoy fine architecture, hospitality and friendly locals. A beautiful little corner of the valley and a chance to explore the heritage, culture and some of Australia’s winemaking origins. It has several older buildings that reflect its early to mid 19th century heritage. There is so much time to admire the historic buildings and roam the streets before heading down south to the vineyards.

Greta is home to some beautiful, heritage buildings and churches which have been transformed into local businesses. Greta is also home to the Greta Migrant Camp which visitors can learn more about at the local museum. 

Branxton and Greta have retained all of their historical charm, with fine colonial architecture and friendly locals. The townships of Branxton and Greta are located on the New England Highway between Cessnock, Maitland and Singleton and on the northern end of Wine Country Drive.
