​It's no secret that when school holidays come around it doesn't take long to run out of things to do to keep the children busy. The Hunter Valley can be just as enjoyable for the children and teenagers as it is the adults. Whether you're looking to keep the children busy with adventure, action, excitement or relaxation, we've got you covered.

There's so much to see and do in Hunter Valley Wine Country for all ages, but why not tick these off your bucket list first!

​Up for an adventure? Hunter Valley Gardens have got just the experience for you and your family, young or old. Grab your friends and family and make yourself a team, explore the gardens, unlock new missions and find the treasure!

​Download the Hunter Valley Gardens Treasure Hunt app and embrace your inner child as you explore and hunt for treasure in the Hunter Valley Gardens.

​There's always so much to see and do at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, for the whole family. As one of the most family-friendly resorts, their year-round kids club has an activities schedule that will keep the kids busy for hours, even days!

​Sit back and relax at Ubika Spa while the children explore, play, learn and engage in winter themed activities.

​Join Gemelli Estate for a High Tea, with special delights for the young and young at heart! Bring the kids, their friends, your friends or the whole family! Indulge in sweet and savoury goodies and relax with good company and conversation.

​Keep the kids busy this school holidays with Margan Family Wines Mini Growers pop-up program. Parents can sit back and enjoy a relaxing wine tasting whilst the kids are learning and having fun.

The Mini Growers experience begins with an educational garden tour followed by a light lunch. Mini growers will also get to plant their own seedling to take home as a souvenir and get their photo taken on the Margan tractor.

Parents who book the Margan Hunter Heroes Food and Wine Experience will receive two free tickets for their mini foodies.

​While the Hunter Valley has several kid-friendly Cellar Doors, Tulloch Wines takes child-friendly to the next level. Not only do they have a Junior Tasting Experience for the little ones but they also have a Kombucha Tasting Experience for the teenagers, or the adults.

​If this wasn't enough incentive, they also have colouring-in books, timber board games and outdoor lawn games such as giant jenga, connect 4, croquet and hoopla. There's plenty to keep the whole family entertained!

​For an activity that guarantees fun and laughter, you'll want to add Hunter Valley Aqua Golf & Putt Putt to your itinerary. No matter the age or skill level, Aqua Golf is fun for the whole family, especially when there's prizes to be won! You can always finish up with a round of 18-hole Putt Putt, you never know you might win a free round while playing Aqua Golf!

​The Adventure Centre Hunter Valley is your one-stop spot located at Hunter Valley Resort where you'll find something to keep everyone happy. Relax on a trail ride or horse and cart ride, go on an electric bike or Segway adventure, put your culinary skills to the test with a candy making or pizza making class or embrace your inner winemaker with some grape stomping and barrel rolling.

​Explore the Hunter Valley back country on your very own off-road Segway. Unique to the Hunter Valley, this fantastic family guided tour is made up of adventure, scenery, wildlife and wine country tutorial. Suitable for all ages from 11 and most fitness levels, this will be a fun and memorable experience guaranteed!

​Go Karts Go Hunter Valley have combined excitement, action and skill all in place for the whole family to enjoy. For excitement and action put on a helmet and strap yourself in to one of their 4-stroke outdoor go karts. Calm things down with a round of 18-hole Putt Putt or test out your hand-eye coordination at their on-site archery range.

​If you're looking to get out and about and explore Hunter Valley Wine Country from a unique perspective, we have a number of cycling options. Hire a bike from Sutton Estate Electric Bike Hire and take a self-guided tour or book a wine tour with Sutton Estate. Bring your own bike or hire a bike and try out the Around Hermitage Cycleway, there's plenty to see and do along the way.

​Looking for that next level experience? A visit to Handmade in the Hunter Markets will give you just that. As a meet-the-maker market, you will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the grower, maker or artist behind each of the expertly-crafted and truly unique "Handmade in the Hunter" creations.

This charming country market is the longest-running, genuine, handmade market in the vineyard area. Held in the rose-lined gardens of Sobels Wines you can also visit the Cellar Door before, during or after your visit.
