Boutique self-contained vineyard cottages (Pet friendly)
27 Rows on Hermitage is a boutique vineyard retreat offering four stylish, self-contained one- and two-bedroom cottages, set on 25 acres of tranquil Hunter Valley countryside including our vineyard where we grow and harvest our Shiraz and Rose wines – a bottle is compliment for guests. We are proudly pet-friendly, so your four-legged family members are welcome to enjoy the getaway with you. Breakfast provisions of bacon, eggs, sourdough, cereals, OJ, fresh milk, teas, ground coffee and condiments provided.
The property sits on the popular Hermitage Road Food and Wine Trail, where guests are within walking distance to outstanding boutique wineries. Latitude 32 is right next door, Jac & Jones is a short stroll down the lane, known for its unique off-grid wines. Other nearby cellar doors include Tintilla Estate, Piggs Peake, Iron Bark Hill Brewhouse, McCaffrey’s Estate, and Enzo’s at Iron Bark Hill, all easily reached on foot.
For coffee, cocktails, or a relaxed bite, Ned’s Café + Bar is located in the Piggs Peake courtyard and open Thursday to Sunday from 9:00am. On Sundays, guests can enjoy a leisurely walk to the Pokolbin Markets (8:00am–1:00pm), showcasing local produce, artisan goods, and regional flavours.
A short drive from the property opens up many of the Hunter Valley’s most celebrated dining and entertainment options. Botanica Restaurant is close by, 4 Pines at the Farm, Brokeback Bar, and The Mill are just two minutes away. Iconic venues such as Muse at Hungerford Hill, Esca Bimbadgen Estate, Amanda’s on the Edge, Cuvee at Peterson House, Harrigan’s Irish Pub, Oishii at Roche Estate, and Hunter Valley Gardens are all approximately 10 minutes’ drive.
Guests attending concerts will appreciate the close proximity to Bimbadgen, Hope Estate, and Roche Estate, all just 8–10 minutes away. For added convenience, Rover Coaches provide concert transfers with pick-up available directly at our gate.
The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities to explore and unwind. Enjoy the 10km shared walking and cycling path along Hermitage Road, spot local wildlife, or take part in a wide range of experiences including horse riding, guided wine tours by limousine or mini-bus, horse-and-carriage rides, Segway tours, cooking schools, cheese tastings, and hot-air ballooning.

Cancellation Policy
Booking & Cancellation Policy: We are delighted that there are no longer any restrictions on travelling to regional and rural NSW for holiday or business related travel. We are celebrating and welcoming all guests back and as a result we have reverted to our standard Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy. All rates include 10% GST [subject to change] and breakfast provisions. Check-in time is 2.00 pm (guests are requested to notify us of approx. arrival time). Check-out time is 10.00 am (variations may be possible upon request). Date changes must be made more than 14 days prior to arrival date. Cancellation notified more than 30 days in advance are entitled to a full refund less $50 admin fee. No show incurs a 100% fee. Cottages are self-catering and it would be appreciated that washing up and putting away of clean crockery glasses etc is done prior to your check-out. Any spillages should be cleaned on the kitchen bench and indoor/outdoor furniture - breakages or spillage on furniture carpets etc may incur a fee. Interior and exterior furniture is required to be put back in their original positions. The accommodation is not suitable for young children. NO SMOKING inside either cottage applies. All cigarette butts and matches must be deposited in the ashtray provided. Thank You!

We are located at 763 Hermitage Road, Pokolbin. Should you wish to avoid driving through Cessnock, you might want to take the Hunter Expressway – drive past the Cessnock turnoff on the M1 to the Newcastle Interchange and take the turnoff to Singleton, the Expressway merges into the New England Highway and Hermitage Road is on the left-hand side after Branxton. If you need groceries take the Wine Country Drive exit and you will find the new Coles at Huntlee. On leaving Coles turn right onto wine Country Drive and your navigation will direct you from there. (they usually want to send you back to the expressway).
