Lawn Session at Pepper Tree Wines

There's a particular kind of long weekend Sunday that asks very little of you. A glass of something good in hand, a patch of lawn underfoot, and nowhere in particular to be. We've got that one lined up.

Rug up, pour something red, and make your way to the Pepper Tree grounds for our winter Lawn Session — Sunday 7 June, from 12 noon to 3pm.

Live music with Zane Penn

From 12 noon to 3pm, Newcastle's Zane Penn sets up on the lawn for a mellow Sunday set — think Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Cat Stevens, Crowded House, a bit of George Ezra. The kind of songs you already know the words to, drifting across the grounds while the afternoon takes care of itself.

A lazy winter afternoon goes better with something to graze on. We've sourced cheese and hamper boxes from Hunter Valley Cheese co. — best pre-ordered, so yours is ready and waiting when you arrive. All you'll need to do is find a spot on the lawn and settle in.

Games, or not

There'll be outdoor games set up if you're inclined. Equally good to find a sunny spot on the grass and stay there. Both work.

The reason we're all here, really. Taste through our current releases at your own pace, sit a while with the ones you like, and take a few bottles home for the week ahead. Our team will be around for guided tastings — the easiest way in if you're working out what suits you.
