Join the Press & Pickle gang this Easter weekend – chefs Troy Rhoades-Brown and Gordon Cooke bring you the humble toastie, rediscovered with local produce and style.

Casual it is, but the focus is firmly set on quality local produce with everything made in house. Wood smoked, salted and cured pork, beef pastrami, haloumi made from local jersey milk, ferments, pickles, rye sour dough and Cuban pork lard loaves are all made in house to make this a very unique, tasty, casual offering for the Hunter Valley.

Bring a picnic rug, buy a bottle of wine and some Pickle and Press toasties, relax on the grass with live music and a jumping castle or pre-book a seated wine tasting with lunch or simply order and take away.

Get your hands all floury in this hands on 3-hour pasta class where you will learn the art of traditional hand rolled pasta, as well as seasonal sauces, bread and dessert.After the class enjoy lunch around the long table of everything made during the class concluding with coffee and biscotti. Spend some time enjoying the beautiful scenery and history of the Tyrrell's property, located in one of the most picturesque settings in the Hunter Valley. 'Grazing on the Grounds' includes individual ploughman's platters of locally sourced cheese & charcuterie, a bottle of your favourite Hunter Valley range wine to share between two people, and a Tyrrell's etched Riedel wine glass each to take home with you.

Bring a picnic rug to spread out on the grass, or sit at one of our picnic tables that overlook the vineyards and stunning Brokenback range, with the historic slab hut built in 1858 situated behind you.

Meander down the garden path, past the olives and vineyards to the winery for a behind the scenes tour. Learn how the single vineyard and sustainably farmed wines are made from vine to glass. Enjoy a sneak preview tasting of yet to be released wines from the tank and barrel. This is all hungry work so your experience continues with a five-course degustation dinner in our restaurant, showcasing the best of our estate grown produce including vegetables, fruit, free range eggs, olives, honey and lambs.

Join us for a seated wine tasting experience at our Pokolbin Cellar Door. Our guided tastings are fun and informative, offering plenty of time for you to relax and enjoy your wines. Explore wines from across our Central Ranges and Old Vines range – all presented in a beautiful Riedel wine glass for you to take home.

Join them to launch Brokenwood's exciting new gallery space with an evening of art, live music, canapés by The Wood Restaurant, and a special new release wine tasting.

Local art gallery 'SMAC Space Studios' is launching an exciting collaboration in Brokenwood's new loft gallery. The first featured artist will be Sally McDonald with her exhibition, titled 'Lucidem'. The works are a celebratory study of the unique intensity of Australian light. Direct reference is made to local areas as the artist shares her immersive experience and response to colours felt and found.

From 27th March to 25th April 2021 Hunter Valley Gardens will come alive with pre-historic fun when Mega Creatures take over! From 9am to 4:30pm come and see all your favourite dinosaurs, giant creepy crawlies, dragons and more than 20 NEW creatures! Plus, get ready to experience this fantastic world with a new twist, Mega Creatures Night Safari! From 6pm to 10:30pm, running alongside the day event discover all the creatures light up into the night!

Join Saddler's Creek Wines for Pooches Picnic Day, Sunday 4th April from 12pm. Bring your picnic blanket and relax with a Saddler's Creek wine, live music and food from our Food Van with your fur babies.

Entry is FREE, however, a gold coin donation is appreciated to raise money for Dog Rescue Newcastle.

Picnic Hampers will available on the day along with selected picnic menu from our food van on site. Wine by the bottle and glass will be also available at the Saddler's Creek Wine Bar.
