Amidst the hustle and bustle of the Hunter Valley Wine Country, a small but distinct valley has been quietly producing some of the best fruit the Hunter Valley has to offer. With a discrete microclimate and seasonal changes different from the rest of the Valley, the alchemy of a little area known as Mount View has been blending its unique "terrior" of free draining clays over limestone substrate.

Tallavera Grove represents the culmination of decades of experience and research by Geologist Dr John Davis. It is one of four premium vineyards owned by the Davis family of Mount View. The vineyard has also been providing fruit for trophy winning wines for some of the Hunter's most successful wineries over the last 15 years.
The winery at Tallavera Grove has been designed to take fruit from the Davis family vineyards in other premium wine areas such as Orange (Carillion label), Wrattonbully (Stonefields label) as well as the base vineyard at Mount View.

In October 2008, legendary Hunter Valley chef Robert Molines moved up to Tallavera Grove and opened his new restaurant "Bistro Molines".
Robert and his wife Sally will also be in charge of co-ordinating and catering for all weddings and functions held at Tallavera Grove.

Next time you plan a trip to the Hunter Valley, make sure you include a visit to Tallavera Grove and experience award winning wines, friendly staff and what is regarded as one of the most scenic outlooks any cellar door in the valley has to offer.
