Mistletoe wins Best Australian Chardonnay

Mistletoe Winery, located in the Hunter Valley NSW has today been awarded the Trophy for the Best Australian Chardonnay at the Winestate Magazine Wine of the Year Awards 2011.

The Trophy was presented to Ken and Gwen Sloan from Mistletoe at the Winestate Awards luncheon which was held at The National Wine Centre in Adelaide.

This award was judged from a field of approx. 3,000 Chardonnays, from both Australia and New Zealand, tasted blind by Winestate over the past 12 months.

The winning wine is the Mistletoe Reserve Chardonnay 2009 which now adds this award to its already impressive list of results.

This wine is available for purchase direct from Mistletoe at $40 per bottle.

This wine caps off an impressive year on the wine show circuit for Mistletoe which to date has collected 4 Championships, 8 Trophies, 11 Gold medals,10 Silver medals and 23 Bronze medals.

These results, in addition to many awards and accolades received over recent years, place Mistletoe in the very top echelon of Hunter wine producers.
