RidgeView Barista The Best

Hunter Valley wine company RidgeView were thrilled to learn that their Head Waitress and Barista Anneliese Moore was last weekend crowned Champion Barista at the Maitland Aroma Festival.

Entrants came from across the Hunter region and Central Coast. With the Aroma Festival being the only Hunter Barista competition operated under World Barista Competition rules – Anneliese can rightfully lay claim to being the Hunter’s leading Barista!

Chief Judge John Doyle was both delighted and surprised at the high level of Barista skills.

From the lucrative prize pool, Anneliese won cash and prizes worth in excess of $2000.

RidgeView Wines have been carefully crafting their wines for ten years now, however the Restaurant and Café only opened in December 2010.

Owners Tracey and Darren Scott were of course thrilled with the result and very proud of, and for Anneliese. “When we started winning trophies and gold medals for our wines, we thought it won’t get any better than this. However this win by Anneliese will also give us a real boost in our Restaurant and Cafe.”

“We are finding that customers are enjoying the drive through the lesser developed Sweetwater area of the Hunter Valley, and our Restaurant overlooking the vines is an added bonus for visitors.”

RidgeView Cellar Door is open Wednesday to Sunday, with RidgeView Restaurant open on Friday for lunch and dinner, Saturday - breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday - breakfast and lunch.
