Jazz in the Vines 2011

The longest running annual music festival in the Hunter Valley, Jazz in the Vines, is back for it’s 19th year. On Saturday October 29, Jazz fans of all ages will

descend on Pokolbin for one of the biggest days on the Hunter’s social calendar.

With a sensational line up including, by popular demand Kate Ceberano, James Morrison, Emma Pask, Soul diva Lisa Hunt, Weird Assembly, George Washingmachine and more to be announced...our 19th birthday bash is one not to be missed.

Kate Ceberano Back by popular demand - While strictly not Jazz, Kate Ceberano’s performance last year won the crowd over. Never before have we seen the crowd respond to an artist as much as they did to Kate, nor an artist respond as much to the audience! We have since been inundated with emails and comments from everyone asking for her return.

When you think about Jazz music in Australia the first name that comes to mind is James Morrison. James is a regular at Jazz in the Vines, 2011 making his tenth appearance on our stage.

Soul Diva Lisa Hunt – another very popular performer from our past, Lisa last performed at Jazz in 2008. Few artists readily connect with their audience in the way Lisa does, it’s her personality, her vocal performance and also the songs she sings – you can’t help but dance and sing along!

Jazz is one of the few Hunter Valley festivals to involve more than the one local winery and this year Tyrrell’s , Drayton’s, Tamburlaine and Petersons Champagne House will be providing great wines while a host of local restaurants will be cooking up some fantastic food.

So weather you are a traditional Jazz fan or just think that the sexy sound of a saxophone solo and a glass of wine is the best way to top off a day in the sun then JAZZ IN THE VINES is the place to be on October 29th.

Tickets, $80 each (plus $10 postage & handling fee) are now available. For more information on the event or to purchase tickets, go to www.jazzinthevines.com.au.
