The Hunter Valley Wine Country Tourism marketing department assists tourism trade from Australia and around the world who wish to sell and learn more about our region. We also welcome enquiries to conduct famils to the Hunter Valley. We recognise the value of the trade to our region in providing potential visitors with the best possible information and service.
The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest and one of its most well-known wine regions and provides an iconic Australian wine & food experience that should not be missed by domestic and international visitors alike. Here you will find world-class Hunter Valley Semillon that has been called “Australia’s unique gift to the world’, great Australian Shiraz that lasts for generations, and generations of family winemakers that are here to tell the tale.
Add to this a wide array of traditional and contemporary delights expected of a world famous wine region, such as fine dining, golf, spas, hot air ballooning, as well as a rich history and passionate Australian families and you will find in Hunter Valley Wine Country one of the most vibrant and relaxing places to visit.
There is no shortage of choice with over 60 restaurants, 120 wineries, 160 accommodation venues and a vast range of activities.Hunter Valley Wine Country is also very accessible and provides a perfect side trip for travellers exploring the east coast of NSW to Queensland. It is less than two hours drive from Sydney and 45 minutes from Newcastle Airport and accessible by various means of transport.
