The house may be booked as a whole with POA and frequently accommodates groups attending local weddings and other functions. All meals are available and special diets are catered for.
Suggestions provided on wedding arrangements, tours, local attractions and sights to maximise guests' enjoyment and experiences. Discounts for wine purchases are available through local boutique vineyards. Discounts for petrol and restaurants may also be available on request.
Bruce and Margaret have travelled extensively overseas and Bruce speaks some French, German and Afrikaans. Their business has operated successfully for 13 years since early 1994 and they are very experienced in meeting guests' needs. They specialise in personalised and attentive but not obtrusive service and are distinguished by their attention to detail. Please note there will normally be a two night minimum stay for normal and event weekends and holiday periods.

Colonial
Room has a queen size bed, small sitting area, wardrobe, dressing table, side tables and a bookcase. It has a ceiling fan and is the coolest room in the house in summer. Breakfast consists of a fruit compote, choice of juices and cereals, hot food, bottomless tea, coffee and toast. There is a wide range of teas including herbals. Four Poster
When set up for a couple only the room contains a queen size four poster bed, a sitting area with two lounge chairs, a wardrobe, dressing table and side tables. It has two fans - a pedestal fan and a table fan. The room can be reconfigured to include a good quality trundle bed suitable for an adult or child or a cot for an infant. Breakfast is included in the tariff and comprises a fruit compote, choice of juices and cereals, hot food, bottomless tea, coffee and toast. There is a wide range of teas including herbals. Ladies Room
The room contains a queen size bed and is normally used by a couple. It can be reconfigured to contain both the queen size bed and a good quality foldaway bed and can then accommodate a couple with a child or a couple with another single adult. When in use for a couple or a single person the room has a ceiling fan, wardrobe, dressing table, side tables and a two seater lounge. Breakfast is included in the tariff and comprises a fruit compote, choice of juices and cereals, hot food, bottomless tea, coffee and toast. There is a wide range of teas including herbals. Special events
Bruce and Margaret are very up-to-date on current events in the area. They can also make your wedding anniversary, birthday or other special occasion a memorable one with a special candlelight dinner at reasonable prices.
Cancellation Policy
Accommodation
1. If HVWCT’s client cancels outside (& inclusive of) 29 days of the arrival date 100% refund to client.
2. If HVWCT’s client cancels between (& inclusive of) 28 and 15 days of the arrival date operator to receive 50% of the booking total if total of accommodation is not relet.
3. If HVWCT’s client cancels within (& inclusive of) 14 days of arrival date no refund applies to client and operator will be paid in full less 10% commission.
4. In the event of HVWCT reselling the total of cancelled accommodation client to receive 100% refund.
PLEASE NOTE: A $25 administration fee applies to any cancellation and ALL refunds exclude the $3.85 booking fee.
Directions:
Situated about 12 km from Cessnock along Wollombi Road. From Cessnock pass through West Cessnock, Bellbird and Greta main to Millfield on road to Wollombi.
