About Ogishi Craft Centre *Setsuko Ogishi Art Glass Studio is one of only a few glassblowing studios in Australia, and is the only one in the Hunter Valley which is open to the public. Setsuko's first studio was established in 1987 in Wollombi, New South Wales, and moved to Rothbury in 1999. Now people can learn and experience glassblowing while they stay in the cottage. Ask about the lesson to Setsuko, if you are interested in. *The gallery displays Setsuko Ogishi Art Glass as well as variety of other quality crafts. Setsuko Ogishi?s glass is well known by Australian art glass lovers. Setsuko has been working with glass for over twenty five years, exhibiting throughout Australia (including Parliament House in Canberra) and internationally. Her plates, bowls, vases, paperweights, perfume bottles, even small birds and mushrooms are unique. They are suitable for special occasions, corporate gifts, or just for your own indulgence. *Try Ogishi chocolate with their Coffee or Tea. Setsuko Ogishi has now extended her talent to another long time dream - Chocolate making. As a medium, chocolate is very interesting. It offers a variety of textures and flavours. You can experience crunchy, soft, sweet and bitter all at the same time. Setsuko?s attention to detail and creativity is sure to please your taste buds as well as your heart. Her glasswork and chocolate work inspire each other and sometimes work together. *The exquisite works of art are the product of Setsuko and her husband Yutaka?s team work, but that is not all. Artist Cottage is a self contained 3 bedroom cottage available as a tourist accommodation now.
