Getting to the Hunter Valley
The Hunter Valley is easily accessible. Only a short 2 hours drive north of Sydney and a leisurely 1 hour drive from Newcastle.
Self Drive from Sydney
Route 1: Over Sydney Harbour Bridge & follow the Pacific Hwy towards Hornsby. Before Hornsby (at Wahroonga) take National Highway 1 (F3 Freeway) north towards Newcastle. After 100kms (1 hour), exit the National Hwy 1 at the Cessnock/Hunter Valley Vineyards exit sign. Follow the signs to Cessnock/Vineyards.
Route 2: Tourist Route T33 – Turn off National Hwy 1 (F3 Freeway) at Peats Ridge. This route will take you through scenic mountains and via parts of the historic convict trail & into Wine Country at the historic town of Wollombi.
By Bus

By Train.

By Plane.
• Cessnock Airport – by private charter or through Sydney Seaplanes.
